Only with us! 20 December, 2016 opens a unique exhibition of works of participants of "Program for memory preservation"

The project "Program for memory preservation" continues its successful development in our Hesed. One of the directions of the project is classes of art therapy with people living with dementia and similar diseases. In addition, participants of classes are also caregivers and relatives of these people. During the sessions the participants together with our experts create unique works. And we are proud to show them to all friends of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel".

As a rule, the lives of the elderly people due to various circumstances is not rich in events. Therefore, even the arrival of the doctor, the visit of a visiting nurse or a trip to the store are the real events to them. It is known that what is perceived at a young age as a minor episode, for an elderly person becomes a matter of a day! So we decided to create a very bright and memorable event – an exhibition of works created by participants of the project "Program for memory preservation". It presents works of even those who have previously not taken up the brush, but created unique drawings and collages which became the subject of unlocking their own value and importance of the author as an active member of society. And this is very important for people living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and similar diseases.

The exhibition will run from 20 December to 29 December 2016. We sincerely hope that the presented works will bring positive emotions to the audience and the desire to help in the development of the project "Program for memory preservation", operating on the basis of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel".
