It’s not a secret that every man at the age of 50 perceives this date as a milestone. For most people this threshold is perceived as the beginning of decay both physical and psychological. One begins to live one day, from disease to disease, from one dull evening to another, drowning in the routine, depriving oneself of the opportunity to plan a happy future and even dream of. And these people don't even notice how many new possibilities the mature years open for them! How much you can do for your own health and longevity, wealth and happiness! Even wise words, "My age is my wealth" many perceive nothing more than a beautiful chorus. And that’s absolutely for nothing, because the Golden autumn of life brings wonderful fruits. But what do you need to do to learn to accept your age positively and to see new prospects? How to live a full life in a new manner the next 50 years? The project "Age of Happiness from Hesed", which started in the club of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" at the turn of the summer - July 13, 2016,helps to find answers to this question.
The project is based on the popular book by Vladimir Yakovlev "The Age of Happiness" and adapted for clients of Hesed, taking into account their characteristics and needs. Our psychologist Larisa Shklovtsova used for the needs of project not only the theory but also best practices, existing nowadays in the field of gerontological psychology.
"A distinctive feature of the project is that we want to help our wards to write our book of happiness – the book of Hesed. I'm sure that among our clients there are people who are able to give a remarkable example of activity, energy, light and optimism to the rest of the wards", — says about the specifics of the project Larisa. Hesed clients – the participants of the project – warmly welcomed the new life style of Hesed and look forward to the next events. And we invite other clients to participate in a new project.
