Constructive thinking – the key to effective communication: training for employees of the ICF

timthumbwtThe fact that a man is a social being is not only the subject of philosophical debate, but one of the issues that famous psychologists and young scientists are studying. However, we do not doubt this statement, because our employees are dealing every day with the lives of wards of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel". In turn, the provision of high quality social services is impossible without well-coordinated work of our entire team, in which we build cooperation based on mutual understanding, respect and constructive dialogue.

Most of us believe that a positive attitude and positive thinking is the key to successful social mission of charity organization. After all, positive thinking is the ability to look at things with hope for a better outcome. But is that enough in order to achieve high results in the social aspect of charity activity? What do psychologists say regarding constructive thinking, in which, in addition to the ability to think positively, it is also important to make the correct conclusions, to know what to do, to understand what skills we lack, how to build the correct strategy at work, or at least, just to set yourself up for productive work?

Our psychologists decided to answer these and many other questions. Since the topic of constructive interaction is quite complex, our Fund initiated a series of trainings on "Effective Communication Skills", conducted by Larisa Shklovtsova, senior psychologist of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel".

The purpose of the weekly trainings conducted at the Training center is not only motivation of ICF personnel, but also to increase their ability to work positively with emerging problems, accurately assess their own capabilities and resources and learn new ways of communication.

Classes are held in small groups, allowing using the full arsenal of tools provided for the training programme. There is no doubt that soon our clients and partners in the process of cooperation will be able to appreciate a new level of quality of our work. And we, in turn, are thanking our colleagues-psychologists for creativity in their activities!
