Hanukah inspirates: Tatyana Korol held master class at the Kyiv Hesed

In one episode of the cult TV series "Friends" Joey met with the erudite girl and went with her to the Museum. In order not to appear a fool, he asked Ross to make a cheat sheet where and what is in the Museum with a brief description of the artwork. During the excursion the pair took a wrong turn and Joey failed the "exam" in art. But our wards will never get in such a situation.

First, they have a huge and various range of interests and talents that we strive to develop. And, secondly, the Kiev Hesed is a conglomerate of Jewish culture, which regularly invites top artists and designers for holding of author’s workshops. One of such notable events was a master class in painting, which took place on the 18th of December, 2017 in the Day center of the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel". Under the professional eye and wise guidance of the "diva of peonies", the artist Tatiana Korol our wards enjoyed learning to paint a real picture. Master class coincided in time with the joyous Jewish holiday, Hanukkah. Naturally, it inspired our artists to create traditional Hanukkah still life painting. The art lesson went slowly and peacefully, leaving the winter, cold day somewhere outside the hours. No fear, no false excitement, no fear of making a mistake was felt among the participants, despite the fact that for many of them it was the first time in life to take a painting class. The atmosphere created by Tatiana Korol was inviting to make a creative search, and friendly communication - to the bold brush strokes and unexpected color combinations in palettes. Diligent "students" were listening attentively to the guidance of Tatiana and within a couple of hours the canvas of each of them shone with the lights of Hanukkah candles, lit by the creative talent. It seemed that the miracle of Hanukkah has touched with an invisible brush the faces of the participants of the master class, having erased years and wrinkles, giving a cheerful smile instead.

Every picture has not only reflected the author's unique style, but has got its character, conveying to the audience the energy of warmth, light, and love. When the brush is ruled by a feast of the soul, the most severe critics get in silence: the works are amazing because of the wonderful emotions they convey and tell about bright and extraordinary personalities of the authors. It’s sure that the results of Hanukkah master class were enjoyed by everyone – by the students and instructor as well.
