The day of the social worker in the ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»

In the modern world there are a lot of holidays – some are traditional, celebrated from generation to generation, others are quite new, to which we are barely getting used to in our minds and calendars. But there are special holidays – when we express our appreciation to the representatives of a certain profession for their skills, responsibility and integrity. And what’s interesting, how can we thank a man for his life choice if his daily work is not a craft or a profession, but the very impulse of the soul, a sincere desire to help and be useful to those who need support?

All the work of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" is based on the wise commandments of mercy – Hesed, and the manifestation of this commandment is made every day by our kindest and wisest social workers. They are those whom we congratulate today on the occasion and say our sincere “thank you”! After all, as has correctly stated our ward Manya N.: "Social worker is my eyes and ears in this brand-new and little understood world. Without her care and patience I would not have been able to do in any situation!"

It's hard to overstate how important is the role of social worker in life of every ward. Because most of the clients of Hesed are the elderly and lonely people, for which, according to our ward Chariton M. "... a social worker has long become a member of our little family and she cares about us as about the family. We don't even feel she’s at work when we get the help, care, respect and support." To those sensitive and caring people was dedicated the congratulatory concert, organized with the participation of wards and volunteers of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel".

Before the concert all present social workers received diplomas with words of deep appreciation not only from the administration and staff of Hesed, but, primarily, from thousands of our wards, who they so selflessly care about. And after the official part our lovely employees participated in a tea party with sweets and a great pleasure from the performances of talented volunteers and invited artists. Those in attendance were able to enjoy the virtuosity of the dances of the "Jewish yard", "Jive" and "Bukovynian dance", presented by participants of the children's dance ensemble "Chestnut", and "Waltz", performed by members of the dance ensemble of Hesed "Step forward". And the guests’ hearts were cheered with the vocal songs performed by the honored artist of pop art of Ukraine, Mikhail Poloz, Arcadiy Aisman and Lyudmila Ladik, Mikhail Strijewskiy, Inna Kulikova, Ivan Malyarchuk and Emma Burdinskaya. The lovely holiday ended with thunderous applause and bright smiles of the wonderful staff of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" in whose gentle hands is kept the most precious thing that a life itself entrusted to us – the vulnerable souls of our wards. Happy holiday, our dear social workers! Mazal tov!
