"Tea with the Rabbi" is the most unpredictable of the traditional events for clients of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel". Coming to the next meeting, the clients of the Kiev Hesed are always in anticipation of what awaits them today: wise words, open and friendly conversation, a fascinating discussion on the important topic for the Jews or anything else in the venerable company of the representatives of one of the branches of Judaism? And every time our valued guests are surprising, engaging and inspiring our wards – the Jews of Kiev and the Kiev region – those who visited the regular “tea party”.This time those who came to the "Tea with the Rabbi" expected an interesting lecture by Anatoly Shengait – the head of the Kyiv city Jewish community. Like no other, knowing the desire of Jews to the tireless intellectual development and learning new things, our respected guest has paid particular attention to understanding the Torah and commandments given to the Jewish people. Anatoly Petrovich has not only quoted and interpreted the sacred source, but explained, how to study, how to analyze and apprehend the Torah through the understanding and interpretation.During the lecture the wards of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" got acquainted with the existing traditions of interpretation of the Torah, their features and characteristics. Learned how to independently analyze the semantic relationships between chronology, history of the Jewish people, ancient and new Jewish holidays. A large number of traditions received justification and became clearer to the participants.During the "tea party" the wards of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" learned a lot of new and were satisfied with their existing knowledge.
