Kira Dementieva: the sports pride of ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»
A healthy body and a healthy mind are the values that are cherished at ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel". Morning exercises, a healthy diet and physical activity are an integral part of life of our Hesed. Therefore, we gladly support the clients who do sports and constantly compete with their own age.
Together with our wards, we at ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" are looking forward to the next start and genuinely feel happy for their sports victories and achievements! So this year Kyiv Hesed once again provided financial assistance to our ward, the athlete with a world name, Kira Dementieva.
Thanks to the support of Hesed Kira Vladimirovna took part in the World Championship in rowing for older athletes WRMR`2017, held on lake Bled in Slovenia. According to Kira Vladimirovna, the regatta this year was significantly different from all previous ones, as the competition was very high, the weather conditions were bad, and each swim was made at great effort. Despite all the difficulties, Kira Dementieva brought from the world regatta two gold medals – in the team of eight people: athletes from the USA, Poland and Ukraine and in the Ukrainian team of two people; and one silver medal in the team of eight people: Ukrainian and American athletes. We sincerely congratulate a great athlete with her great victories!
New medals have become a worthy addition to the vast collection of sports awards collected over many years of sports career of Kira Vladimirovna. And in our humble question, is the athlete tired and whether she has plans to leave the competition, we got an exhaustive answer: "This is my life. It's an incentive. It would be possible to go for a package tour, but we're going there to labor. But my immediate plan is the European championship in July 2018". So, it is evident that sport, fighting and competition with herself, with her own fatigue and disease is unchanged credo of our ward. ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" congratulates Kira Dementieva with another victory!
Let Your willpower and the spirit of sportsmanship help in the difficult daily competitions with life's adversities and you become an example for many of our wards – the Jews of Kiev and Kiev region.
