• Master class of Hermann Vizulis in the ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»

    Outside the window flies the first snow, decorating the bare trees with a light, fluffy coat, and we in the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" live in a colorful summer. Ripe fruits, juicy berries and bright leaves literally come to life on sheets of paper, one has only to touch them with chalk or oil pastels. In such a light and buoyant childlike delight was held a master class of the famous artist Herman Vizulis with clients of the Kiev Hesed. Perhaps the whole secret of his success is in almost imperceptible roughness of paper, the simplicity of chalks of pastels or that a talent for drawing is in the blood of a Jew – nobody knows. But we do know that each participant of the master class was able to experience the atmosphere of co-creation in the company of a talented mentor, and to feel himself a part of exquisite craftsmanship, which requires a long study, but allows you to create your own piece of art from the first sheet and from the first picture. As the participant of the master class Gennady has noted: "I myself haven’t an idea that I am able to draw, that I will succeed". The master class has ended, but the love of Hesed wards – the Jews of Kiev and Kiev region – to the fine arts only intensified, because now they can not only enjoy the works of famous authors, but also know how to start their own picture. According to our clients’ words: "Herman showed us how to animate the image, make it real." That’s how a few hours in the pleasant company of the artist became for the wards of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" a lesson, inspired by the creativity, and the clients of Hesed felt capable of creating something beautiful and good. We heartily thank Herman Vizulis for the sincerity and openness with which he came to the class and look forward to new meetings in our home – in the Kiev Hesed.
