• «Music of words» in the ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»

    As the famous poet Paul Eluard said: "The Purpose of poetry is the useful truth" and he was so much right! So much mental strength, inspiration, understanding and wisdom, each of us draws upon poetry. Therefore, we love the classics of poetry for their perceptiveness, intimacy and life actuality. However, should only classics be respected? Are there among us, our friends and acquaintances the people who expertly use the word? Given these issues, we in the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" announced a literary contest "Music of words", which lasted throughout the year. Many interesting works were handed over for the competition.

    But guess who won? The poetry! And not a single author, but the whole direction. Our contest finished with a brilliant finale with the participation of four winners. The winners of the annual literary competition "Music of words" became the wards of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel": Yefim Waks, Igor Deskin, Alexandra Moshkovich and Helen Frisherman. Words cannot describe the depth of emotions and emotional experiences, which the winners stirred up with their creative works. After all, their poetry is a really useful truth, intimate and understandable to each of the wards of our Hesed – the Jews of Kiev and Kiev region. Their lines about joys and troubles, love and loss, courage, sincerity and frustration, about what a live person is impossible – the Life itself.

    And of course, our dear finalists received their well-deserved awards and gifts. Director of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" Raisa Gritsenko has presented diplomas to the winners, the famous Ukrainian choreographer and admirer of the talent of our authors Ilona Kleshnina handed the authors the cash prizes for the subscription on the newspaper "Jewish news" and the editor of the publishing house Co-op Media Elena Komova presented them art books of paintings "Ukrainian genius Marchuk: stories?" Organizers and guests of the finals of the literary contest are truly grateful to the finalists for the human warmth and sincerity, which they shared with all present.

    After all, a family atmosphere of understanding and support that prevailed in the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel", when they sung verses, was impossible to falsify or distort. In our house, Hesed, has been held a wonderful celebration, where sounded the music of words. And we want to wish every finalist that this incessant music accompanied them through all their life, supported and inspired them to create and to please others for many and many years!
