Once in Kiev...

...Jews from Kiev and Odessa haggled – where are the most Jewish of the Jews:

"– In Kiev when a Jew sedately walks in the street and if he feels cold, he goes to the store and buys a fur coat! If then he feels hot, he just throws the fur coat on the sidewalk!

– Oh, please! In Odessa, if a Jew feels hot, he takes off a diamond of pure water from the little finger, then drinks water lipsmackingly and throws the diamond away!"

Indeed, Khreshchatyk is not lined with fur coats. And it's not because fur coats are in short supply, but because the weather in our beloved city is like this: 8 months of constant cold and 4 months of snuffbumble. But there are days that make us happy with both - the weather and events! Such a day was the Day of Kyiv - 2017.

So many events were held this weekend! Of course, our ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" didn’t stand aside resting in the auditorium: we participated in a wonderful Festival of Podil peoplehood cultures, one of the most vivid and memorable events in the city. There were successful performances of our brilliant Irina Sidorovskaya, Helen Wynn, Emil Krupnik and Felix Schuster. They delighted the audience, and grateful Kiev spectators answered with applause.

Wishing you happiness, the beloved city! Mazal Tov, Kiev!
