"I will not tell for all Odessa, all Odessa is very big..." – wrote the poet-songwriter Vladimir Agatov and everyone agreed with him on that for many years. But here in the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" there is a talented author and performer, who dared to tell us for all of Odessa. And not just to sing about Odessa, but to sing as they sang in the old Odessa, which was really worth it. Our frequent guests have already guessed who we are talking about, while for the other curious readers we will surely tell, of course, we are talking about the wonderful singer Emil Krupnik!
Recently the wards of the ICF "Jewish Hesed" Bnei Azriel" – the Jews of Kiev and Kiev region – had a remarkable opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of the real Odessa chanson of the beginning of the XX century. Wonderful creative tandem of Emil Krupnik, duet "Nigun" (Helen Winn, Irina Sidorovskaya) and the ensemble "Simha" pleased the guests of the concert program with bright and artistic performance. In the best traditions of old Odessa each concert number turned into a theatrical performance full of life, emotions and, of course, Odessa humor.
As you understand, during the concert in the hall weren’t neither disinterested nor feeling sad listeners, as there wasn’t left any free space – because Odessa, whether it is old, new or any other, always sparks a sincere interest in the wards of the Kiev Hesed. The concert program ended with a storm of applause and words of gratitude from our well-rested and cheered-up wards. We sincerely welcome such success of artists and hope for new warm meetings at our home – within the walls of the ICF "Jewish Hesed" Bnei Azriel"!
