Each of us has favorite singers, poets and actors – and rightly so. Didn’t you think is there a way, that the artist, poet and actor was the one person – talented, charismatic and charming? Of course there happens so, we all know that particularly among the Jewish performers it is happening quite often! Especially when we are talking about the person of such magnitude as Vladimir Vysotsky.
To Vladimir Semenovich – or rather, his eightieth birthday anniversary, was dedicated an unforgettable memorial concert at ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel". To say that the hall was full will compare to call the Victoria falls a small mountain stream. And it's well understandable, because there gathered the true fans of Vladimir Vysotsky talent. In between performance numbers the guests shared with pleasure their sweet memories about who, when and under what circumstances was lucky enough to attend a concert of Vladimir Vysotsky in his lifetime. And at the end of the program the woman came on the scene and in a few seconds, all the present ladies were jealous at her. It turned out that at a young age she was familiar with Vladimir Semenovich and imagine, once he kissed her, and even dedicated a quatrain! Those and many other bright, vivid and warm memories instantly transformed the wards of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" in playful boys and girls ready to shake a leg and sing along to the beloved performer, whose voice periodically was heard from the screen.
The artistic part of the evening for clients of the Kiev Hesed – the Jews of Kiev and Kiev region – provided the invited guests: Alexander Kropelnytsky and Boris Keselman, and favorite artists: Eugene Orel, Mikhail Strizhevskiy, Emil Krupnik and Helen Winn. Artists performed all-favorite songs of Vysotsky and their modern variations, combined texts in Russian, French and Yiddish, and a great compere in the evening was amazingly complementing the atmosphere. The participants of the concert program were able to create a real gala evening to every client of Hesed, so they could for a few moments felt themselves the guests of the most memorable Vladimir Semenovich.
