It's no secret that among the wards of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" there are a large number of talented musicians and performers. But at the same time, few people realize that thanks to this our clients listen with such awe to the professional performance of any musical work and this very feature makes their eyes shine, and their hearts tremble when a really good music sounds.
So the other day there was a pleasant surprise – with the assistance of Boris Zabarko, Chairman of UPO "Association of Jews – former prisoners of ghetto and concentration camps", came to visit our wards a very young student-pianist from Stuttgart, Jonathan Hanke. The young man was extremely nervous performing in front of a respectable audience, but from the first notes it became clear that all his inner turmoil was in vain – he really played brilliantly. Bach's magical symphonies, Schumann's beautiful melodies and Brahms' favorite works became a wonderful gift from the student of the Conservatory for the wards of Kiev Hesed.
And the end of the warm and friendly meeting was the musical improvisation of our talented guest, touching the most gentle strings of the soul of our wards – Jews of Kiev and Kiev region. We are sincerely grateful to Jonathan Hanke for his interest to the life and fate of our wards, for the wonderful and unexpected musical gift and the warmth with which the young man was so sincerely sharing with everyone present in the hall.
