• The training of social workers in the ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»: resolving difficult situations

I don't know whether you've noticed, but sometimes, in dealing even with the most close and dear people, it is difficult to maintain calm, poise and tact. When emotions go off scale, and mutual misunderstanding turns into mutual claims, it is very important to understand how to behave correctly, so as not to offend the interlocutor and keep the relationship on a good level. Moreover, what can we say about the situation when it is necessary to provide professional services to a client whose health is weakened by long diseases and difficult living conditions and the mood is spoiled by loneliness and frustration? Of course, it's hard. Of course, that is a difficult situation. Of course, there is a way out of it and it is a subject to gradual settlement!

The main thing is to know the right mechanisms for solving complex problems and ways out of any situations. It is the peculiarities of communication in difficult situations and gaining practical skills of communication with clients that the psychological training was dedicated to. It was conducted by the experts of the Training centre of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" for social workers. During the training, specialists of Hesed Natalia Timoshenko, Irina Demenko and Irina Kostenko together with social workers studied out in practice various difficult situations, ways to solve them and, most importantly, behavioral models that are appropriate and correct in each case.

We learned about it from the words of those present, for example, Lyudmila D.: "... I received answers to my questions, learned how to position myself and what qualities to develop in myself." But it is so important to know that you have someone to turn to for getting professional support and advice. Another lesson ended with kind words and feedback from the social workers who attended meetings with psychologists, and we at the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" were once again convinced how much necessary and useful are regular classes for the employees of Hesed.
